Visitor information

Drottningholm is approximately 12 kilometres west of Stockholm city.

ARRIVING AT DROTTNINGHOLM

By underground to Brommaplan, then change to any of the buses numbered 176-177 or 301-323. See here at SL's web site to plan your trip. The station/stop is called Drottningholm (Ekerö).

By boat from Klara Mälarstrand-City Hall jetty (Stadshusbron), several tours daily. The theatre boat m/s Prins Carl Philip will take you in time to the performances and has a restaurant on board. Check timetable for departures suitable for performances, you can book tickets online. For group and table reservations tel.: +46 (0)8 1200 40 00 and www.stromma.se/.

By car: Show maps and search routes and GPS coordinates on Eniro which also enables you to search for a description of how to get here. Click on “Vägbeskrivning”, and you can get detailed description on how to go from a specific address. We are sorry that the information is only available in Swedish, but there are also GPS coordinates. There is one free parking just in front of the theatre, one more when you continue along Ekerövägen and take the first left.

RESTAURANTS and READY-MADE PICNIC BASKETS

Drottningholms Slottscafé open until 30th September 09.30-16.00, October - December Brunch on Saturday-Sunday 11-16.00. During summer season on performance evenings extended opening to 19.30, kitchen close at 19.00.

You can also bring your own picnic and eat in the English garden.

GOING BACK AFTER A PERFORMANCE

A Theatre bus leaves 15 minutes after the end of the performance, and stops at underground stations Fridhemsplan and T-Centralen. Tickets at the price of SEK 70:- are sold at the same time that you buy your theatre tickets and are also sold at the cloakrooms of the theatre in connection with performances.
